Scientists and researchers from the University of Texas think they have found a cure for diabetes. Though the treatment is considered unconventional, the UT team has found a way to make existing cells in the pancreas perform the work of insulin producing beta cells. They have performed successful tests on mice by curing them of diabetes but human clinical trials are at least 3 years away.

This all sounds very promising for the diabetes community but I’m getting sick and tired of hearing them say “it’s years away from being available commercially” and I’m sure all diabetics are as well.
